In 2018, the Belgian retail chain Veritas has over 130 stores. Spread over the whole of Belgium, the facilities can call on the facility department at the head office in Kontich for their facility support. To strengthen the facility team, Freestone was asked to send a Facility Assistant.
Steven Wuytack was appointed as the central point of contact for internal customers and suppliers. After registering the applications, the necessary actions are defined and assigned to the responsible implementer. The Facility Assistant then takes care of the operational follow-up of every request. Needless to say, communication with the internal customer is central to all this.
In addition to the management of the facility help desk, the Facility Assistant also takes care of preventive maintenance of, for example, HVAC, lifts and escalators, alarm systems and performs the required quality controls. He also offers administrative support when requesting quotes, placing orders and managing permits.
Finally, Steven also supports the Facility Manager with current facility projects. Within Veritas, for example, there are always renovations and relocations in progress.
