Freestone creates opportunities and makes it happen. The employees of Freestone are also completely steeped in this credo. Thomas Poelmans, Facility Advisory Manager, is building a real power plant in Kenya.
With Hydrobox, they already provide 1,500 users with electricity today, using the power of the Gondo river. By 2022, Hydrobox wants to substantially expand this hydropower project to 10,000 end users. This way they bring reliable, affordable and sustainable access to energy in regions that do not have access to it today. Electricity as a motor for more prosperity! Koen Mees, CEO of Freestone, recently took a look at the project in Kenya.
