Freestone was recently asked to perform a constructural audit of the Bruges concert hall.
The Concertgebouw van Brugge is an international cultural center for music and contemporary dance. The building, located on 't Zand, was erected for "Bruges 2002 Cultural capital of Europe".
Because of its many years of expertise, Freestone was asked to carry out an constructural audit of the cultural temple.
Architecturally, the concert hall is a miracle piece of art: thanks to some ingenious architectural interventions, such as the 4,696 springs on which the entire building rests, the building offers excellent acoustics and is one of the world leaders in that regard.
