Loyens & Loeff, a leading international full-service legal and tax company, has been based in Sint-Lambrechts-Woluwe since 2001 where a building of 7,400 m² was rented. The lease contract ends in 2020, but a break option in the contract offered the opportunity to see whether the current building still met the company's future business needs.
Loyens & Loeff was looking for a team of real estate experts who could assist them in drawing up a long-term real estate and workplace strategy. Starting from the vision of the management, the starting points of a new office concept were determined which formed the basis for a new needs program.
The current building was subsequently confronted with these new needs. The comparative business case showed that an alternative building provided a better match from a financial and qualitative point of view. The conditions were negotiated and converted into a concluding contract.
The project manager of Freestone was then responsible for the follow-up of the works, managing the budget and monitoring the timing during the implementation process.
